On Saturday, March 12, The Underground will attend the Broadway musical Godspell which is written by the same writer of the Broadway musical Wicked, by the Troy Ridgedale Players. The cost is $17.00 per ticket.
"Godspell is cause to rejoice! This irresistibly exuberant production will make you a believer in the power of musical theater!" - USA Today "Go forth and enjoy!" - New York Magazine Prepare ye for GODSPELL, the beloved musical from Stephen Schwartz, the Grammy® and Academy Award®-winning composer of WICKED. Raise your spirit with the Tony®-nominated score filled with the popular hits "Day By Day," "Light of the World". The structure of the musical is that of a series of parables, mostly based on the Gospel of Matthew (three of the featured parables are recorded only in the Gospel of Luke). The parables are interspersed with a variety of modern music set primarily to lyrics from traditional hymns, with the passion of Christ treated briefly near the end of the performance. It is a timeless tale of friendship, loyalty, and love that has touched the hearts of countless theatergoers all over the world. It will stir your soul, raise your spirit and lift you right out of your seat. Contact Larry Jamison for more information. Comments are closed.
