"Metropolitan Community Church of Detroit lovingly transforms lives by including all, inspiring each other, and influencing community."
Welcome to Metropolitan Community Church
Services are held each Sunday at 11 A.M.
The Metropolitan Community Church of Detroit is made up of people from all walks of life. Our members and friends are people who believe that the Gospel of Jesus Christ was, and is, meant for everyone.
Our church is part of the Universal Fellowship of Metropolitan Community Churches (UFMCC), a Christian church with a special outreach to the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender communities. We believe that God has created all people, and that God has given each one of us a special place in the realm of creation. We believe that the universal message of the Gospel is one of love and compassion to all people, and it is to that end that we seek to serve our community.
Our denomination has sought to include everyone in its worship services, and in so doing has pioneered the use of inclusive language and theology. We seek to include everyone, not just in worship, but also through opportunites serve the community in God's love through the church.
MCC Detroit, founded in 1972, seeks to bring people into the family of God in an atmosphere of love for all.
