Got questions? We got answers! We know that for many, walking into a new church is no small act of faith! We believe that visiting a church should feel like visiting a loved one's home, so we want to make your visit with us as easy and comfortable as possible. Below are some commonly asked questions. Where is MCC detroit located?
Metropolitan Community Church of Detroit meets inside Affirmations in Ferndale located at 290 W. 9 Mile Rd., in Ferndale, MI.
WHERE can I park?
Free parking is available behind Affirmations and in the lots and garage south of 9 Mile Rd.
there are a lot of entrances...which one do I use?
You are able to enter the Affirmations building either through the back door off the the parking lot or through the front door off of 9 Mile.
what do i wear?
We want you to feel comfortable joining us for worship just the way you are. When you arrive, you will see people in everything from suits and dresses to jeans and t-shirts.
do you have different service times?
We currently have one worship service that begins at 11:00am and typically runs an hour to an hour and a half. You are invited to join us after service for refreshments and fellowship in the Cafe - pending Covid restrictions.
I have children. Is there a place for them during worship?
During our weekly worship service, there is an opportunity for your littles one to attend Children's Church. After the opening praise and worship, your children will be invited to join the leaders of our children's ministry for Children's Church. They will return to the sanctuary toward the end of the message. If they don't want to go to Children's Church, or you would prefer they stay with you during service, they are more than welcome to stay seated with you.

MCC Detroit is led by our Senior Pastor, Rev. Dr. Roland Stringfellow.

We are a Christian church that offers a loving, supportive, and non-judgmental environment to all people. We believe God's love is for everyone. We exist to celebrate God's love through worship, fellowship, education, and empowering individuals to develop a closer relationship with God.
