Ministry Teams
Metropolitan Community Church of Detroit has ways for everyone to participate in the ministries of the church, whether you are a member, a regular attendee or a visitor. Our ministries include:
Administration Teams
These teams include the Supply Team which works with the treasurer and church leaders to ensure supplies are available as needed, Security Team which provides security support before, during, and after services as well as at special events, and an Office Administrator who supports the ministry and the Pastors.
Audio/Visual Support Team
Supports the technical delivery of the worship service through the use of PowerPoint and sound equipment.
Business Operations Team
This team consists of the Board, the Treasurer, a Financial Outreach Team, and a Financial Growth Planning Team.
Communication & Technology Team
Develops and distributes all published communication, website, and social media presence.
Counseling Ministry
Support members of the congregation who may be navigating issues concerning marriage, loss, identity, coming out, etc.
Education Ministry
Develop and lead Bible Studies and Sunday School discussions.
Family Ministry
Support Director of Family Ministries through delivery of programs for children, teens, young adults, and seniors.
Hospitality Ministry
Support Social Ministry by greeting and welcoming guests before service, at post-service fellowship, and other special events.
Inreach Ministry
Promotes congregational fellowship by providing events and activities for members to attend and participate in.
Music Ministry
Creates and enhances the worship experience through music.
Outreach Ministry
Works with local LGBT organizations, government agencies, businesses, and church groups to promote MCCD objectives.
Social Ministry
Provides after service fellowship and support for internal and external MCCD events.
